Ben(oni) vs Ben(lev sameach). (PART 1)

Proverbs 6:16-19 (GNT)
[16-19] There are seven things that the Lord hates and cannot tolerate: A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that kill innocent people, a mind that thinks up wicked plans, feet that hurry off to do evil, a witness who tells one lie after another, and someone who stirs up trouble among friends.

Micah 6:8 (MSG)
[8] But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don’t take yourself too seriously— take God seriously.

Gorgeous,
Do you have a child? Do you have a son?
How do you feel when he does something wrong or disobeys?

You see,
there is something about a father's love for his son that you might not ever be able to fully grasp. But let me widen your perspective a little.

When you have a child, that child comes from you. He carries a part of you, a likeness of you, he carries you.
A good father can never be wicked to the child from his loins (or even adopted). Even the Bible shows us this. Because whenever he looks at that child, he sees another chance at a better future for the coming generation.

Let's say it this way:
when you look at your child, you should see the person you still strive to be; a better you, the best version of you. So it's like you have another chance, another shot at building a better future this time around. This is why loving parents, who had to suffer all their lives, go all out to ensure that their children and the upcoming generation never have to go through what they did. They make sure that, whatever the case, the child knows they are always behind them cheering and helping them up the ladder of life.

You get?

Now,
Being sons of Abba as we are means that we come from Him. We carry a part of Him, a likeness of Him. We carry Him through and through in our very DNA. So that when people see us, they automatically see Abba.
Abba has done so much for us. He has ensured that the life we are to live in Him is one that is free from worry, fear, or uncertainty because He is always solidly behind us.

So, in return, what kind of Ben (son) are you to Abba?
Is it the one that gladdens the heart (lev sameach)
or the one that brings sorrow and pain (oni)?

If you are a son of God meant to carry Him to the world, your actions, character, values, and ideologies must show that you are truly a son of Abba.

You cannot treat people badly, do bad things, and still boast of being a son of God.
You cannot talk down on people, keep grudges, hate others, be prideful, and still call yourself a son.
God does not embody these characters, and so when we do, it causes Him pain.

Today, I didn't want to write long. I just wanted to tell you this:

God is a good Father. So good that as long as the sun still rises every day, His mercies are born again, ie new and fresh, for you, His son. Why not be a son that gladdens His heart?

Remember,
we are here to ensure that we propagate God's eternal plan to the coming generation, the future He has always had in mind. God in us, we in Him.

God is watching, the nations are watching and waiting,
Live right.
