Authority and Purpose

Hello!
How are you faring?
Today, marks a new week. And while I may not be very active here, I wanted to leave you with something gentle to ponder on until I return.

I once came across a thought that said:
A believer is not meant to live as a victim of circumstances, but as someone conscious of God’s life and power working through them.

Have you ever caught yourself asking quietly:
• Why do I believe, yet still feel powerless?
• If God truly lives in me, why am I still struggling?
• Is there more to my walk with God than simply surviving?
These are not questions of doubt, they are questions of depth.
You are not questioning God; you are questioning your position.
Sometimes, in moments like this, we emphasise authority more than process.

You see, authority in the Spirit does not cancel timing, training, or ordinary obedience.
Because authority without assignment creates frustration,
and assignment without authority creates exhaustion.

Gorgeous, you may be in a season where God is quietly forming assignment.
In such seasons, authority can feel dormant not because it is absent, but because it has not yet found a channel.
And please hear this: your authority does not have to look loud or dramatic.
It may look like:
▪︎ discernment
▪︎ emotional intelligence
▪︎ steadiness in chaos
▪︎ the ability to listen without rushing people
▪︎ order, structure, and care
These are forms of governing authority, not spotlight authority.
The kind that:
▪︎ stabilises environments
▪︎ brings peace into systems
▪︎ holds space for healing
▪︎ manages responsibility well
God often prepares people like this quietly, because their authority will one day affect others deeply.

Baby, you hear?

Like me, your current season may be training disguised as waiting.
Waiting feels passive, but training is active even when it feels invisible.
You may be learning:
▪︎ how not to panic when provision is daily, not overflowing
▪︎ how to show up without affirmation
▪︎ how to trust God without romanticising struggle

If you feel restless, but there has been no clear release yet,
that often suggests that formation is still ongoing.
You are not quite there yet, and that is okay.

So as this new week begins, shift the question from:
“Why is nothing working?”
to:
• What is God shaping me towards?
• What is this situation pointing me towards?
• What fruit is this meant to produce in this season?
• What part of this requires growth before manifestation?

Let these scriptures steady you: James 1 | Psalm 37 | Isaiah 40 | Haggai 1–2

And hold this truth close:
You are not powerless. You are on assignment. And God does not rush assignments He intends to last.
God’s Spirit convicts gently. He does not suffocate.
My love, you are not being stalled.
You are being steadied.
And people who are steadied now are often trusted later.

Remember: authority can feel dormant, not because it is absent, but because it has not yet found its channel.
